1. Move: exercise allows you to combat high blood pressure, high cholesterol, trouble sleeping, depression, and so much more. More specifically, exercise also helps maintain your chiropractic adjustments while you also lose fat and gain muscle. Amazing! So set aside at least 20 minutes each day to do something you enjoy: running, yoga, weight lifting, etc.
2. Eat protein: protein keeps you level-headed in the midst of everything the holidays throw at you. When you're at Starbuck's, avoid the extra drizzle of caramel that will take your blood sugar on a roller coaster of a ride, and
opt for hard boiled eggs or a handful of raw nuts.
3. Breathe: get lots of fresh air to stay energized and vivacious. To give your brain oxygen, find a comfortable spot outside, inhale through your nose, hold for a second, exhale, and rest for one more second. Repeating this slow, mindful breathing for at least five cycles will help combat the stress of the holidays.
4. Drink water: water is truly the magic potion to maintain a high quality of life. Staying hydrated keeps your body running like a well-oiled (or, in this case, well-watered) machine. Water keeps your mind sharp, your body free
of toxins, and your skin looking beautiful.
Above all else, be safe and be well!
